Changes to the Virginia COPS Matching Funds
Between FY 1997- FY 2000, the General Assembly appropriated $2,450,000 to assist Virginia localities with meeting the cash match requirements attached to the Justice Department's Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS) grants for sworn law-enforcement positions. No new funds have been appropriated for this program in FY2001. For further questions, contact your grant monitor.
