The files listed on this web page contain the Virginia Sample Directives for Law Enforcement manual.

Each directive is numbered and in numerical order.

Additionally, there are six files-Title Page, Acknowledgements, Preface, Foreward, Contents and Index--which, when printed, should be placed before all numbered files.

Note that the six named files and all general orders files (those beginning with "2- ( )") should be printed on white paper. The rules and regulations portion ("l- ( )") should be printed on light blue paper.

Although the manual is copyrighted, you have permission to use any portions of this manual in any way you choose in constructing your own directives. If you wish to publish any portions of the manual, please first contact:
