DCJS forms are provided in several formats. Each format has different capabilities:
- .doc files are Microsoft Word files. If you have Word installed on your computer, information can be entered on the form, and the completed version can be saved and printed. You can also view these files with the Microsoft Word Viewer, a free plug-in from Microsoft.
- .htm files are regular web pages. If you can read this page, you can read .htm pages and no additional software is required. Some of these forms may be interactive and can be submitted electronically. Others will have to be printed off and filled in by hand.
- .pdf files are Adobe Acrobat Reader files. The files can be viewed and printed from the website if you have the free Adobe Acrobat Reader plug-in installed on your computer. Most of these files must be completed by hand and cannot be modified on your computer. The majority of forms are provided in this format.
- .rtf files can be saved, modified, and printed
in most all word processing applications like Microsoft Word and Corel WordPerfect.
- .xls files are Microsoft Excel files. If you have Excel installed on your computer, information can be entered on the form, computations will be made automatically, and the completed version can be saved and printed. You can also view these files with the Microsoft Excel Viewer, a free plug-in from Microsoft.
