What We Do
 

  • Receiving and logging into the Grant Management Information System (GMIS) all grant applications received.
  • Fiscal oversight of grant applications to include items such as review of their itemized budgets, ensure match amounts are correct, and that proposed expenditures reasonable and allowable under applicable state/federal regulations.
  • Preparation of grant related information for use by the Director, the Criminal Justice Services Board and its subcommittees.
  • Upon approval by the Criminal Justice Services Board (or Agency Director in some cases), issuance of grant award documents.
  • Receipt of recipients’ signed acceptances of grants.
  • Receipt of requests to draw down and disburse grant funds.
  • Receipt and processing of grant recipients’ budget amendment requests.
  • Receipt and processing of quarterly financial reports submitted by grant recipients.
  • Preparation and submission of required financial information to federal funding agencies.
  • The unit also manages the funds disbursed to localities under the so-called “599” program of state aid to localities with police departments.
