How to Apply

You must register with our online training host for these classes. Go to http://training.apt-llc.com/home to find out how.

To receive credit from DCJS you must submit

  1. Compliance Agent Entry-Level (12E):

    • Compliance Agent Certification Application and Online Training Exemption form (PSS_WC) and $25 fee

    • Fingerprints, fingerprint processing application (PSS_FP) and $50 fee.

    • Official Documentation verifying eligibility to be a compliance agent.

      • Be a minimum of 18 years of age.

      • Have (i) three years of managerial or supervisory experience in a private security services business, a federal, state, or local law-enforcement agency, or in a related field or (ii) five years experience in a private security services business, with a federal, state or local law-enforcement agency, or in a related field.

      • "Official documentation" means personnel records; DD214; copies of business licenses indicating ownership; law enforcement transcripts; a signed letter provided directly by a current/previous employer detailing dates of employment and job duties; private security services registrations, certifications, and/or licenses from other states; and/or other employment, training, or experience verification documents. A resume is not considered official documentation.

  2. Compliance Agent In-Service (12I):

    • Compliance Agent Certification Application and Online Training Exemption form (PSS_WC) and $25 fee

  3. General Instructor In-Service (13I):

    • Alternative Training Credit Application for In-Service Training (PSS_WA) and $25 fee
