This multidisciplinary conference is being sponsored by the Virginia Crisis Intervention Team (VACIT) Coalition, the New River Valley CIT Program, and the Virginia Departments of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS) and Criminal Justice Services (DCJS). The two day conference offers opportunities for CIT programs to network, learn from each other and nationally recognized experts, and return to their programs with information that will transform their systems of care. Conference check in will begin at noon on Sunday, May 7th at the Inn at Virginia Tech and Skelton Conference Center. Members of all Virginia CIT programs are encouraged to attend.
DBHDS is pleased to be able to provide up to 25 scholarships for peers, family members and advocates associated with Virginia CIT programs. The scholarships will cover conference registration and 2 nights lodging. Individuals interested in a scholarship should contact Stephen Craver (Stephen.Craver@dbhds.virginia.gov) to apply for scholarships.
