The goal of this conference is to promote a culture of preparedness on campuses so students, administration and faculty can maintain a high level of readiness for all hazards – such as fires, hurricanes, tornadoes, active shooter(s), pandemic flu, etc.
The target audience of 500-550 participants will be from Virginia's 69 degree-granting two- and four-year public and private colleges and universities, including representatives from the presidents' offices, security/police, emergency management, health, information technology and student government, along with other local and statewide emergency preparedness stakeholders.
There is no charge for conference registration, but attendees and their respective institutions will be responsible for their own transportation and lodging. Lunch will be provided the day of the conference.
