Description

The Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) is pleased to announce that registration is now open for the 2012 Virginia School and Campus Safety Training Forum and State D.A.R.E Conference, Monday, July 30 through Wednesday, August 1, 2012. Opportunities for additional specialized trainings will be offered on the afternoon of August 1, 2012.

DCJS is partnering with the following departments and organizations to bring you this combined training opportunity: Virginia Department of State Police and the Virginia D. A. R. E. Association for the annual Virginia DARE State Conference, the Virginia Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control, Virginia Department of Education, Virginia Office of the Attorney General, Virginia Department of Health, and Virginia Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators.

In its twelfth year, the Virginia School and Campus Safety Training Forum will feature topnotch keynote speakers and useful workshops for more than 600 participants in the fields of law enforcement, security, primary, secondary and higher education, counseling, and more.

Participant Registration and Cost

Pre-registration is required. The conference registration fee for participants is $75.00 per person. To register as a participant, please click the button below.


Vendor Registration and Cost

The conference registration fee for vendors is $250 and includes:

  • One (1) conference registration fee
  • One (1) display table
  • Three (3) conference lunches

Location

The Forum and optional specialized trainings will be held at the Embassy Suites Hampton Roads Convention Center, 1610 Coliseum Drive, Hampton, VA.

Lodging and Meals

Our host hotel is the Embassy Suites Hampton Roads – Hotel, Spa and Convention Center in Hampton, Virginia at 1700 Coliseum Drive, Hampton, VA.

Reservations for the event can be made by individual attendees directly with Embassy Suites by calling reservations at 1-800-EMBASSY 24 hours a day or 757-827-8200. Please ask for “In-House Reservations” Monday – Friday 8am to 5pm. The name of our group for reservation purposes is the VIRGINIA SCHOOL SAFETY CONFERENCE and this is the name to use when calling reservations to secure a sleeping room.

The group rate is $77.00 per suite, per night plus taxes for single occupancy, and ten dollars for each additional occupant for reservations made under this block.

Other lodging accommodations are available within walking distance of the conference facility.

Lunch will be served to registered participants each day of the Forum. Participants are responsible for their transportation, lodging, and most meal costs
