The Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services, the Office of the Attorney General of Virginia, the Department of Corrections, the Department of Juvenile Justice and the Department of State Police are pleased to announce a three-day Conference on Violent Crime. The 2017 Conference on Violent Crime will focus on topics directly related to trends and strategies used in efforts to reduce violent crime in the Commonwealth.
This conference is being offered to Virginia sworn law enforcement officers, military and prosecutors who are interested in this specialized information about trends and solutions related to violent crime reduction. Agency identification will be required for admittance.

Law enforcement officers can receive PIC hours for the training. Final hours will depend on individual daily and session attendance.
There is no cost to attend this training.
Lunch will be served to registered participants each of the first two days of the conference. Participants are responsible for their transportation, lodging, parking and other meal costs.
Attendees requiring overnight accommodations at the Hotel Roanoke and Conference Center should call the hotel directly at (540) 985-5900 or (540) 853-8250 and identify themselves as part of the Conference on Violence Crime in order to receive the $107.00 State rate ($121.24 inclusive of tax) per night.

Reservation requests must be received by phone or on-line by Thursday, April 27th. Requests received after this date will be accepted on a space and rate available basis.
Lodging and daily commuter attendees will receive a discounted self-parking rate of $6 per night/day, per vehicle in the main hotel self-parking lot (with unlimited in/out).
