Pre-Conference: Applied Threat Assessment for K12 School Teams and Practitioners - July 29, 2019

Registration begins at 12:00 pm. Course runs from 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm

As a pre-cursor to the Virginia School Safety Training Forum and as a natural next step in school threat assessment team preparedness, DCJS is pleased to offer a half day pre-conference training entitled Applied Threat Assessment for K12 School Teams and Practitioners.

This applied course is offered for established school threat assessment team members and those with responsibility for and experience with K12 threat assessment.  This training is designed to enhance skills, identify common team problems and solutions, and provide information on best practices and standards.

The goal for this half day course is to give participants a chance to practice their skills in key areas—threat assessment procedures; case management planning; conducting threat assessment interviews; and determining appropriate interventions.

There is no fee to attend the Pre-Conference, but registration is required.
