This multidisciplinary conference is sponsored by the Virginia CIT Coalition and the Virginia Departments of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services and Criminal Justice Services. The two day conference offers opportunities for CIT programs to network, learn from each other and nationally recognized experts and return to their programs with information that will transform their systems of care. Conference check-in will begin at noon on Tuesday, October 16th at the Inn at Virginia Tech and Skelton Conference Center. Members of all Virginia CIT programs are encouraged to attend. With generous support from the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Development Services, the Virginia CIT Coalition is pleased to offer up to 25 scholarships for peers, family members and advocates that work with Virginia CIT programs. The scholarships will cover the cost of conference registration and two (2) nights lodging. Eligible individuals must complete a brief scholarship application, which is located on the Virginia CIT website (https://virginiacit.org/conference/peer-scholarships/).
Cost & Registration
A conference fee of $75.00 is required for this event and must be received by October 5th, 2018. Payment by credit card is the preferred method of payment. If paying by check, payment must be received by DCJS no later than September 28th. Conference registration fees are non-refundable and must be received by DCJS prior to the Conference. Registration includes training materials; conference meals (light breakfast, full lunch on October 17th and 18th, and dinner on October 17th); continuous snack and refreshment service; the VACIT Awards Banquet and Networking Event (entertainment, food and refreshments).

The 6th Annual Virginia CIT Conference will be held at the Inn at Virginia Tech & Skelton Conference Center. 85 rooms are available at the Conference Center and additional room blocks are listed below. These additional hotels are located less than a mile from the Conference Center. Please keep in mind that the group room block for all participating hotels will be released on September 16th. After that date, the rates will increase substantially.
