The Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services, in partnership with the Washington/Baltimore High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA), is pleased to announce training in Forensic Statement Analysis (FSA), July 16 -18, 2019 at Central Virginia Community College in Lynchburg, Virginia. This three-day course is designed for new and seasoned investigating agents/officers and military personnel charged with finding the truth. Through the use of Forensic Statement Analysis (FSA), investigative agents/officers and military personnel are safer, better prepared to conduct more thorough interviews and reaching the ultimate goal of obtaining more court preferred confessions. FSA is a process of obtaining the “pure version” of a person’s own story with little to no influence by the interviewer. The statement is then treated as its own crime scene whereby his/her own words of betrayals are then used against them to find the hidden truth. This course is designed for all levels of experience, and is limited to 75 participants.
This training is open to all sworn law enforcement officers.
Partial In-service Credit (PIC) for law enforcement officers will be available.
Registration begins at 7:30 AM
Training will be from 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM each day
