The DCJS Virginia Center for School and Campus Safety is pleased to announce a new webinar: Leveraging Positive Partnerships Between SROs and School Administration: “Working Together to Make Our Schools Safer”. This one-hour session, presented by Brad Stang - a former administrator, and Kim Simon - a former SRO, will highlight best practices for building a successful working partnership and developing and/or updating effective MOUs to leverage these relationships, and to assist with planning and implementation of SRO programs. An update on new legislation relating to MOUs will also be shared.
The webinar will mix live and pre-recorded elements to enable participants to ask questions and share ideas. At the end of the webinar, attendees will be able to request a virtual or in-person technical assistance individual workshop for their locality.
The target audience for this program is K-12 administrators, SROs, SRO Supervisors and any other K-12 and law enforcement leadership.
There is no fee to attend this webinar series. Pre-registration is required. Registrants will receive an email with instructions for joining the webinar prior to the event.
