Description: Description: Professionals across disciplines face challenges related to children, youth and families involved with substance use and abuse on a daily basis. Cases involving substance use within the family are on the rise. This training series will equip professionals and volunteers with the knowledge to understand more about prevalent substances in Virginia, how substance use by a caregiver affects the family dynamic, and how children and youth removed from homes where they have been substance exposed work through their trauma and lived experience via community treatment resources
