Human Sex Trafficking is a rapidly growing concern not only in our area, but across the nation. As responding law enforcement, identification of a potential victim is critical. How do we begin to identify a potential problem, build successful prosecutions, and properly assist those who have been victimized? During this two day training, we will address these and other questions which may arise during the identification, prosecution, and rehabilitation process. We will also discuss the hidden dangers of social media and its role in trafficking of victims, as well as the life-long impact of effective medical, mental health and advocacy interventions. Finally, we will hear from a survivor of human sex trafficking, as she shares her experience.
This training is being offered to all criminal justice professionals: law enforcement, probation, parole, corrections and prosecutors.
