The Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) is offering a Half-day workshop titled “21st Century Smoking- We Can’t Suspend Our Way Out of It”.
This training is for educators, prevention providers, law enforcement, probation officers, school administration, treatment, and counselors. This training is unique, in that it provides insight into how technology is pairing with vaping, as well as offering strategies for prevention and intervention. The instructors strive to get participants to think outside the box and inspire critical thinking about the impact of vaping, including JUULing, current technology, and alternatives to suspension.
This half-day workshop offered by DCJS will provide school leaders and law enforcement working in schools important information about current smoking and substance abuse trends affecting the youth in our communities.
This training is being offered at no cost to K-12 educators, prevention providers, law enforcement, probation officers, school administration, treatment professionals, and counselors.
