The Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) is pleased to announce that it will host a 1 - day intensive training entitled The Four Corners of Title IX Compliance Advanced Leadership Institute. This training, conducted by Professor Peter Lake, will only be offered to individuals who have previously attended Professor Lake’s two-day training on the Four Corners of Title IX Regulatory Compliance. Attendance at this one-day live training is a prerequisite to receive materials created for the Virginia DCJS, including a 250+ page Title IX Primer and a PowerPoint slide deck, which may be modified and used on your campus. This one-day live training will discuss advanced topics in Title IX compliance, relevant updates in Title IX, and will introduce the Primer and PowerPoint slide deck.
This one-day intensive training class is designed for Virginia Title IX coordinators/deputy coordinators/investigators, campus police and campus security administrators and officers who have responsibility for conducting, assisting, or overseeing Title IX investigations and compliance on their Virginia college campuses. This training program is only open to those who have attended the two-day training, the Four Corners of Title IX Regulatory Compliance.
Partial In-service Credit
Partial In-service Credit for law enforcement and security officers is available.
There is no fee to attend this course. All training materials will be provided.
Participants are responsible for their transportation, meals, and lodging arrangements and related expenses.
Registration begins at 8:30 a.m.
Training begins at 9:00 a.m. and concludes at 5:00 p.m.
Pre-registration is required.
Please note that the DCJS registration system does not have the capacity to sort eligible from ineligible registrants. Therefore, anyone who registers will receive a confirmation. It is the responsibility of the DCJS assigned course director to review the roster and make a final determination on acceptance into the course. Registrants not accepted will be notified via the email address provided during registration.
