The Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS), Law Enforcement Division, is pleased to announce law enforcement grant writing workshops/training. The 4 hour training will be held in each of the VSP divisions throughout the Commonwealth. This introductory “Law Enforcement Grant Writing Overview” course will focus on preparing grant applications specifically from a DCJS Law Enforcement perspective. The training will review the essential components of the DCJS grant packet, including the Project Narrative (Needs Statement, Project Description and Budget Narrative). The training will also review required DCJS forms for the application DCJS grant packet, including the application Facesheet and Itemized Budget form. Participants will also receive an overview of the grant submission process, grant award and key post-award activities.

This training is open to all Law Enforcement agency personnel who have the responsibility or desire to learn more about preparing grant applications for the Department of Criminal Justice Services.
Partial In-service Credit (PIC) for law enforcement officer will be available.
There is no registration fee to attend this training.
Transportation, lodging and meals are the responsibility of the participant.

Pre-registration is required. Please note that the DCJS registration system does not have the capacity to sort eligible from ineligible registrants. Therefore, anyone who registers will receive a confirmation. It is the responsibility of the DCJS assigned course director to review the roster and make a final determination on acceptance into the course. Registrants not accepted will be notified via the email address provided during registration.
