The Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) is pleased to announce that it will host three regional two-day trainings on Racial and Ethnic Disparities (RED). These trainings will be facilitated by the Center for Children’s Law and Policy (CCLP), a national organization whose mission is focused on promoting appropriate and equitable responses to youth that are free of racial and ethnic disparities and to promote local action plan development for participating teams. The training is designed to address inequities seen across systems in Virginia that impact youth, policy and decision-making, and professional interactions with youth. Participants are encouraged to attend as interdisciplinary local teams, but individuals are also welcome.

Cost and Registration: Registration is free. Lunch is on your own.
Cancellation Policy: If you discover that you will be unable to attend the training, in order to receive a refund please notify us in writing via e-mail to monica.jackson@dcjs.virginia.gov by September 29, 2017 for the Fairfax training, or November 21, 2017 for the Henrico and Norfolk trainings. Without proper cancellation, registrants will be expected to pay the registration fee.
