The DCJS Virginia Center for School and Campus Safety (VCSCS) will be hosting a series of quarterly school safety and security conference calls to provide updates and discuss trends in safety and security across the Commonwealth.
These calls will bring together staff from all school divisions in Virginia, as well as VCSCS and Virginia Fusion Center staff, Virginia DOE, and special guest representatives from other states’ school safety centers, the FBI, USDOE, among others. These calls will feature an array of topics such as social media threats, school bomb threats, drug abuse trends and gang activity, as well as school safety/security initiatives, available training, and related best practices across the Commonwealth.
In addition to School Safety/Security Directors and Emergency Managers, the calls are also open to law enforcement officers assigned as SROs and command staff or supervisors of local law enforcement agencies. Please feel free to include appropriate staff and partners on the call.
Pre-Registration is requested. Registrants will receive a reminder email with instructions for joining the call.
