McKayla Burnett is the State Trafficking Response Coordinator with the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services. McKayla has been in the victim services field since 2015, working with survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking. Prior to coming to the state, McKayla oversaw a residential sex trafficking program for women. She completed her Master’s of Social Work degree and certificate program in Gender Violence Intervention at Virginia Commonwealth University.

McKayla's hobbies include travel, running, rock climbing, camping, reading, and trying new foods.
