Application to the Bureau of Justice Assistance For Byrne Justice Assistance Grant Funds

 NOTICE

The Department of Criminal Justice Services has submitted an application to the Bureau of Justice Assistance of the U.S. Department of Justice to obtain federal fiscal year 2016 funding available through the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program. The application was submitted on June 30, 2016.
 
The Department is eligible to apply for $3,454,450 and will use these funds to make grants to localities, state agencies and nonprofit organizations to support law enforcement, prosecution and judicial programs; crime prevention and education programs; corrections and community corrections programs; drug treatment programs; and technology improvement programs. 
 
The application to the Bureau of Justice Assistance is available for public review at the Department’s offices at 1100 Bank Street, Richmond, Virginia 23219; and comments from the public are welcome.  Inquiries should be directed to Joe Marshall, at 804/786-1577 or by e-mail to joe.marshall@dcjs.virginia.gov.
