Description
The Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services is pleased to announce the Human Trafficking for SROs training from Freedom 4/24. This training is scheduled to enhance the awareness and understanding of human trafficking in the school environment.
Training Objectives:
- Identify and define human trafficking and related key components- force, fraud, and coercion—and its forms of labor and sex trafficking.
- Debunk common human trafficking myths and misconceptions
- Understand the characteristics of traffickers and victims, and the common recruitment locations and grooming tactics
- Learn how to identify and respond to potential trafficking victims.
This course is being instructed by Freedom 4/24
Who Should Attend?
Campus law enforcement officers, campus security officers, school resource officers, school security officers, municipal law enforcement, school administrators, and anyone who regularly works with students in a school or campus setting.
Partial In-service Credit
No PIC will be available for this course.

Cost and Registration
There is no registration fee to attend this training.
Pre-registration is required.
Please note that the DCJS registration system does not have the capacity to sort eligible from ineligible registrants. Therefore, anyone who registers will receive a confirmation. It is the responsibility of the DCJS assigned course director to review the roster and make a final determination on acceptance into the course. Registrants not accepted will be notified via the email address provided during registration.
