The Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) is pleased to announce Georgetown Law’s Active Bystandership for Law Enforcement (ABLE) Training – Executive Information Sessions.
The purpose of these sessions is to provide information to law enforcement agencies regarding the ABLE Program. The session will also cover how your agency can become a certified ABLE agency.
The mission of the ABLE Program:

Provide guidance to police agencies and communities that want to develop active bystandership programs and build the cultures that sustain them.
Establish standards and benchmarks for effective active bystandership programs.
Connect ABLE partners, agencies, and community groups across the U.S.
Three foundational pillars of ABLE training:
reduce mistakes.
prevent misconduct.
promote health and wellness.
