The Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services in partnership with the Washington/Baltimore High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) and the Northeast Counter-drug Training Center (NCTC) is pleased to announce training on Social Networking for Law Enforcement This two (2) day training course is being held on December 4 – 5, at the University of Richmond - Ukrops Auditorium, in Richmond, Virginia. This course will cover the essentials every law enforcement officer needs to know about Social Networking whether they use it or not. Social networking can be an excellent resource for intelligence and evidence, but an officer MUST understand how it works and how to authenticate the evidence they find. In addition officers need to understand the inherent dangers and counter surveillance that gangs and criminals employ. This course utilizes a combination of lecture, multi-media, live demonstrations and case studies to educate the officer.
This training is open to all law enforcement personnel.
Partial In-service Credit (PIC) for law enforcement officers will be available.
