Applications and fees must be received by DCJS and all application & eligibility requirements must be met prior to enrollment.

DCJS will issue a confirmation to individuals with details regarding training session date & location and any special instructions. You will be scheduled for the next available session if the requested date is full.

Course Title and Code: General Instructor In-service Training (13I)

Application Type: General Instructor In-service Training Enrollment Form (PSS_GI)

Course Description: This course is a four (4) hour training session provided by DCJS required for current instructors and focuses on Regulation updates and instruction techniques.

Required to be completed within 24 months of the last completed training and within 12 months prior to the expiration date of an individual’s certification.

Eligibility/Application Requirements:

1. Just a reminder: to renew your instructor certification you must submit the Instructor Renewal Application (PSS_IR) and fee as well as complete training. 
    
2. Completion of in-service training does not automatically renew your instructor certification.
