2026 Virginia School Safety Executive Forum
Invitation-only Pre-Conference for the
2026 Virginia School Safety Training Forum
Leading the Way to Bring the School Safety Vision into Focus
Monday, July 20, 2026
10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Hampton Roads Convention Center
The Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services’ Center for School and Campus Safety is pleased to offer the third annual invitation-only opportunity to join us to discuss ways to purposefully enhance the safety of our school communities.
Buy-in from the top down and bottom up is foundational to school safety. Continually expanding partnerships in all areas is also critical. This Forum will provide a unique opportunity for decision makers to hear from their peers and colleagues and facilitate meaningful change in support of legislation, addressing top concerns in school safety, and best practices in crisis management, critical incident response, drug prevention, and relationship building.
Intended Audience: Virginia School Superintendents, School Board Members, Police Chiefs, Sheriffs and/or their designees, and other executive-level government leaders and partners across the Commonwealth.
Our partners:
- Virginia Department of Education (VDOE)
- Virginia Office of the Attorney General (OAG)
- Virginia Association of Chiefs of Police (VACP)
- Virginia Association of School Superintendents (VASS)
- Virginia Sheriff’s Association (VSA)
- Virginia School Boards Association (VSBA)
- Virginia Risk Sharing Association (VRSA)
- Virginia Drug Awareness Resistance Education (DARE) Association
Goal of the Executive Forum: To provide an opportunity for school division and law enforcement leadership and policy makers to network with colleagues to discuss the latest school safety news, projects, and resources impacting Virginia schools.
