Timothy Carter has served as Chief of Police for the Town of Warrenton since February 2023. Prior to his appointment, he served as Deputy Chief of Police for three years under Chief Michael Kochis. Before that, he served as Interim Chief of Police for 18 months, providing leadership during a critical period of transition.
Chief Carter has more than 34 years of law enforcement experience and is a graduate of the FBI National Academy. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Administration, with an expected graduation date of June 2027.
