Description:

The Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) is pleased to announce the availability of approximately $1,000,000 in grant funding through the 2026 Unmanned Aircraft Trade and Replace Program. This one-time funding opportunity aims to support first responder agencies across Virginia in replacing drones manufactured by foreign adversaries with secure, compliant alternatives that strengthen operational safety and effectiveness.
The purpose of this training is to help local agencies understand how this grant can support the replacement of insecure drone systems and comply with new state/federal requirements. This session will provide an overview of the Unmanned Aircraft Trade and Replace Grant Program (DRGP) offered by the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services. Additionally, we’ll walk you through the eligibility requirements, creating an account in the Online Grants Management System, and provide step-by-step instructions for completing your application. Lastly, we’ll review the application review process, so you know what to expect once your submission is complete.
