The DCJS Virginia Center for School and Campus Safety is pleased to announce a statewide Security Directors and School Safety Virtual Roundtable. This statewide meeting is designed to provide a collaborative environment to discuss relevant issues in real time with other school officials. The meeting will be conducted via Zoom allowing participants to share ideas and discuss issues related to managing school security in the current climate dominated by COVID-19. The session will start with a brief overview of legislative changes with impact for K-12, an update on resources available and additional topics as suggested by school officials who submit questions or agenda items in advance.
DCJS staff will be on hand to moderate and guide the agenda. Specific topics for discussion may be submitted in advance to Kim Simon at kim.simon@dcjs.virginia.gov or by phone at 804-997-1717.
The session will run for approximately 1 hour.
This series is intended for School Security Directors, Emergency Managers and other appropriate personnel as designated by the superintendent.
