Building Accessible Justice in Virginia: A Statewide Collaboration

DCJS is pleased to announce that registration is now open for the virtual training "Building Accessible Justice in Virginia: A Statewide Collaboration."
Event Description:
This panel discussion will present the findings of a federal Office on Violence Against Women (OVW) grant-funded project focused on understanding and addressing the needs of victims of sexual assault with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The panel members, representing the three collaborative partners in this project, will delve into the comprehensive needs assessment conducted as part of this project and explore the identified statewide needs. Panelists will discuss key findings and the strategic plan they developed to address identified needs within their agencies and through their work.
Learning Objectives:
As a result of this training, attendees will be able to:
- Discuss the needs of crime victims with intellectual and developmental disabilities as identified in the statewide needs assessment.
- Identify key steps the statewide partnership will take within their own agencies to address identified needs.
