Description

The Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services is pleased to announce “Ready, Set, Stretch: Injury Prevention and Recovery for First Responders”.

First responders face physically demanding situations that push their bodies to the limit. To help combat this, NOTA Fitness and Wellness offers "Ready, Set, Stretch," a course designed to equip participants with practical knowledge and techniques to reduce injury, improve recovery, and build long-lasting flexibility.

Through interactive sessions, hands-on practice, and expert guidance, participants will develop personalized strategies to protect their health and maintain peak performance on the job. This course goes beyond basic stretching by integrating injury prevention methods, recovery strategies, and the latest mobility training techniques tailored to first responders' unique needs.

Key Topics:

  • Dynamic warm-ups and mobility exercises for the job
  • Stretching techniques to help prevent injuries
  • Body mechanics and proper posture for first responders
  • Recovery routines to promote muscle repair and flexibility
  • Breathing techniques to improve performance and manage stress
  • Using massage gun therapy for targeted muscle recovery
