The Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS), in conjunction with Safer Schools Together (SST), is pleased to invite you to an educational webinar on our exclusive DCJS/SST Digital Threat Assessment training partnership on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at 11:00 am - 12:00 pm EST.

The current DCJS/International Center for Digital Threat Assessment (ICDTA®) library boasts:

-eight micro-modules on cyberbullying, vault apps, Snapchat, anonymous apps, etc.

-monthly live webinars on current online behavioral trends

-a three-hour virtual training course on the fundamentals of digital threat assessment

-a full-day virtual training on digital threat assessment

-a three-hour e-learning digital threat assessment course

-access to complimentary digital resource guides

The purpose of this 60-minute webinar is to educate our threat assessment team community on the ICDTA® trainings and resources available, which are designed to help your teams better recognize and respond to today’s challenges from worrisome digital content contained on varied social media platforms. Discover how to proactively assess online behavior and identify individuals who may be on the pathway to violence.

Who should attend?

This training is intended for Virginia campus threat assessment team members, including campus and university law enforcement officers, municipal officers working with campuses, security personnel, and civilian team members.

Partial In-Service Credit:

There is no PIC being offered for this training.

Cost and Registration:

DCJS has made these comprehensive online learning materials available for free to safety and threat assessment teams across the Commonwealth. Registration is required for this informational webinar.

Please note that the DCJS registration system cannot sort eligible from ineligible registrants. Therefore, anyone who registers will receive a confirmation. The DCJS-assigned coordinator is responsible for reviewing the roster and making a final determination on acceptance into the course. Registrants not accepted will be notified via the email address provided during registration.
