The Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) is pleased to present “VCSCS Training Resources for K-6 Schools.”

This webinar is designed for elementary and K-6 school staff to familiarize themselves with the on-demand course opportunities available via the Benchmark learning management system. Additionally, attendees will receive an overview of VCSCS programs and resources available to support school safety at the elementary level.

Topics will include:

• On-demand trainings on threat assessment, cyberbullying, trauma-informed practices, and more
• Role-specific course pathways
• Overview of the Be Safe Virginia curriculum
• Highlight of VCSCS resources
• Q and A

Who Should Attend:

This webinar is open to all K-12 division and school staff; however, topics are aimed at administrators, SROs, SSOs, and school safety staff working in elementary and K-6 schools.

Partial In-Service Credit:

Partial In-Service Credit (PIC) for law enforcement officers will not be available.

Training Time and Details:

Training begins at 10:00 am and ends at 10:45 am.

Cost and Registration:

There is no registration fee to attend this training. Pre-registration is required.

Please note that the DCJS registration system does not have the capacity to sort eligible from ineligible registrants. Therefore, anyone who registers will receive a confirmation. It is the responsibility of the DCJS-assigned course coordinator to review the roster and make a final determination on acceptance into the course. Denied registrants will be notified via the email address provided during registration.
