The Private Security Services Advisory Board (PSSAB) is established pursuant to §9.1-143 of the Code of Virginia. The 15 members of the advisory board are appointed by the Criminal Justice Services Board (CJSB). The PSSAB advises the Criminal Justice Services Board on all issues relating to the regulation of the private security, bail bondsmen, bail enforcement agents and special conservators of the peace industry.
