Description
The DCJS Virginia Center for School and Campus Safety, in partnership with the Washington/Baltimore High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (W/B HIDTA), is pleased to announce a three (3) day course, on Commercial Motor Vehicle Criminal Interdiction (CMVCI), on May 18–20, 2021, in Roanoke, Virginia. The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration Drug Interdiction Program, in partnership with DPSST, is presenting this course.
This twenty-four hour course is intended to familiarize and update law enforcement and Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) safety officials who perform, or intend to perform, CMV counter‐crime activities, tactics, and criminal interdiction techniques involving everyday CMV traffic in transit.

Who Should Attend?
This training is being offered to sworn law enforcement officers.
Partial In-service Credit
Partial In-service Credit (PIC) for Virginia law enforcement officers will be available.
Travel, Lodging, and Meals
Transportation, lodging and meals are the responsibility of the participant.
Training Time and Details
Sign in begins at 7:30 a.m.
Training begins at 8:00 a.m. and concludes at 4:00 p.m.

Participants will be required to complete a Participant Screening and Waiver prior to attending the training. This will be emailed to registrants before the training and will also be available to complete at check-in on the day of the training.
PLEASE NOTE: DCJS is preparing and planning to continue holding training sessions and conferences after a resumption of normal activities.
