The Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services in partnership with the Henrico County Police Department is pleased to offer this five-day “Advanced Narcotics Investigations” training course.
This course will include tabletop exercises with an emphasis on developing conspiracy cases. Topics will include dark web investigations, money laundering, racketeering, FinCEN, FBI NDCAC, cell phone exploitation, legal topics and considerations, wire-tapping, parcel investigations, and federal prosecutions.
This training is open only to sworn law enforcement officers who are assigned to investigate narcotics cases.
Prerequisites
Must have at least 2 years of narcotics experience or have previously attended a Basic Narcotics Investigations School. Candidates must be able to attend all five dates with no conflicts. Participants will need to bring their issued MDT and writing materials.
Law enforcement officers who complete this training are eligible to receive partial in-service credit hours.
There is no fee to attend this training.
Participants will be required to complete a Participant Screening and Waiver prior to attending the training. This will be emailed to registrants before the training and will also be available to complete at check-in on the day of the training.
PLEASE NOTE: DCJS is preparing and planning to continue holding training sessions and conferences after a resumption of normal activities. Every effort will be made to hold this scheduled training, however, due to the uncertainty of the progression of the COVID-19, this training may require rescheduling.
