The Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) is pleased to announce the 2024 First Responder Wellness Conference Post Conference at the Hilton Norfolk – The Main, in Norfolk, VA on September 6, 2024.
Description
While we often hear of the big events (shootings, etc.), many of our families miss the smaller traumas that impact families. This workshop reviews tools that law enforcement couples can use to weather the day-to-day stressors.
Who should attend?
This post conference is open to all first responder groups, including but not limited to, law enforcement, fire/EMS, EMTs, dispatchers and corrections. This conference is also open to retired first responders as well as civilian peer support and mental health clinicians who are culturally competent in first responder wellness. ATTENDEES MAY BRING THEIR SPOUSE/SIGNIFICANT OTHER TO THIS EVENT.
Partial In-service Credit
Law enforcement officers who complete this training are eligible to receive partial in-service credit hours.

Post Conference – September 6, 2024, from 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Meals, Travel and Lodging
Participants are responsible for their transportation and lodging arrangements and expenses.
Participant Cost and Registration
There is no fee to attend the post conference and training materials will be provided.
