MDT: Good to Great Training
The Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services, in partnership with the Virginia MDT Stakeholder Group, is offering an opportunity for multidisciplinary teams to come together to participate in team-centered training. The MDT Good to Great training is designed to strengthen how multidisciplinary teams work together to support victims and improve case outcomes. This training focuses on building shared understanding of roles, enhancing communication across agencies, and developing consistent, trauma‑informed practices across disciplines. Participants from at least three disciplines per locality will learn strategies for improving collaboration, identifying and addressing common team challenges, and refining protocols to ensure a more coordinated, effective response. Overall, the training helps teams move from functioning adequately to performing at a truly high level where collaboration is intentional.
