Course Description
The Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services, in partnership with the Northeastern Counterdrug Training Center (NCTC), the Washington/Baltimore High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (W/B HIDTA) and the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS), is pleased to announce a three (3) day course on Middle Eastern Intelligence. This course will familiarize attendees with the history of the Middle East and the culture of regional peoples with special focus on Islam as a religion and as a way of life. The course will provide knowledge and skills in order that attendees can effectively handle victims, witnesses, suspects, source operations, prosecution, corrections, probation and parole, analysis, and community liaison with persons from the Middle East.
Upon completion of the course, students will be able to:
- Describe the key geopolitical and national security challenges in the Middle East region
