Chrissy.Smith

Chrissy Smith serves as the Grant Monitoring Coordinator for the Adult Justice Program, where she provides training and technical assistance to program staff and helps maintain procedures and guidelines for grant administration.

Prior to joining the Adult Justice Program, Chrissy spent six years as a Victim Services Grant Program Specialist, overseeing grant compliance for multiple programs, including Sexual Assault Services (SASP), Victim/Witness Assistance (VWGP), Victim Services Grant Program (VSGP), Virginia V-STOP, Virginia Sexual and Domestic Violence Victim Fund (DVVF), and American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) grants.

Before her tenure at DCJS, Chrissy worked at the Virginia Attorney General's Office as the Sexual Assault Kit Initiative Advocate, contributing to efforts to eliminate Virginia's Sexual Assault Kit backlog. She began her career with thirteen years as an Advocate in the Henrico Victim Witness Assistance Program.

Outside of work, Chrissy enjoys spending time with family and friends and sharing plenty of laughter.
