The Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services, the Office of the Attorney General of Virginia, the Department of Corrections, the Department of Juvenile Justice and the Department of State Police are pleased to announce a three-day Conference on Violent Crime. The 2018 Conference on Violent Crime will focus on topics directly related to trends and strategies used in efforts to reduce violent crime in the Commonwealth.
Who Should Attend?
This training is being offered to Virginia sworn law enforcement officers, military and prosecutors who are interested in this specialized information about trends and solutions related to violent crime reduction.
Partial In-service Credit
Law enforcement officers can receive PIC hours for the training. Final hours will depend on individual daily and session attendance.
There is no cost to attend this training.
Lunch will be served to registered participants each of the first 2 days of the conference. Participants are responsible for their transportation, lodging, parking and other meal costs.

Lodging and daily commuter attendees will receive a discounted self-parking rate of $6 per night/day, per vehicle in the main hotel self-parking lot (with unlimited in/out). Lastly, complimentary WiFi is included for lodgers – the code will be provided at hotel check-in.

Pre-registration is required. Please note that the DCJS registration system does not have the capacity to sort eligible from ineligible registrants. Therefore, anyone who registers will receive a confirmation. It is the responsibility of the DCJS assigned course director to review the roster and make a final determination on acceptance into the course.
