The Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) is pleased to announce that registration is now open for “Grief, Secondary Loss, and Advocacy.” Please join us on July 26th at 10:00 am as MADD Mid-Atlantic Victim Services discusses the unique and universal aspects of traumatic loss and subsequent mourning. This webinar will explore both healthy grief and disenfranchised grief, the importance of acknowledging loss as part of the healing process, and ways to identify when formal treatment might be needed. The presenter will discuss how advocates and other professionals can support others to become more involved and make positive and lasting changes in their communities, and why championing causes around a “greater good” can aid in healing.MADD Mid-Atlantic Victim Services works with survivors and families impacted by the devastation that occurs as a result of impaired driving crashes. Our team provides free resources and aid to victims while they walk the path on their bereavement journey.
