Overview: This introductory convening will bring together grantees that are implementing evidence-based prevention, intervention, and enforcement programs based on partnerships among community residents, local government agencies, community-based organizations, and law enforcement.
The convening will advance peer learning with a focus on effective programs for various disciplines. It is our hope that attendees will gain a wide variety of information related to promising and effective strategies designed to reduce violent crime in communities across the Commonwealth of Virginia.
There will be plenary and general presentations, as well as time for informal engagement and networking amongst attendees with the goal of promoting collaboration and information sharing.

Safer Communities Program
Operation Ceasefire
Firearm Violence Intervention and Prevention
Cost: This in-person training is free to attend. All travel expenses are the sole responsibility of the participant’s agency. Lunch will be included for attendees.
