Through Virginia Code § 9.1-184 and § 9.1-102, DCJS and VCSCS are mandated to provide training and resources for all public school personnel and strengthen and improve law enforcement in the Commonwealth. The VCSCS addresses cutting edge topics which improve relationships, prevent violence, and enhance response to public schools, institutions of higher education, and the community.
