FY 2027 School Resource Officer Incentive Grant Program - New SROs

The Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) is pleased to announce the Fiscal Year 2027 School Resource Officer Incentive Grant Program’s Funding Opportunities for New School Resource Officers (SRO) grant.

This announcement is for Funding Opportunity #567117: FY27 School Resource Officer New Positions – SRO.

Funding is available for salary and benefits for full-time or part-time SRO positions, equipment, programming, and training.

Grants will be awarded on a competitive basis for a 12-month period beginning July 1, 2026, and ending on June 30, 2027. Awards are contingent on funding availability within the SRO Fund in the state appropriations actApplications must be submitted using the On-Line Grants Management System (OGMS), found at Instructions for registering for a new account and for applying for funding can be found on the OGMS Training & Resources.

Applications must be submitted on an annual basis. Please read the guidelines and instructions for additional details.
