The Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) is pleased to announce the Fiscal Year 2027 School Resource Officer Incentive Grant Program’s Funding Opportunity for Continuation School Resource Officers (SRO) grants.
This announcement is for Funding Opportunity #567166: FY27 School Resource Officer Continuation Grants – SRO
Continuation applications are being accepted for:
- Grantees whose four-year grant cycle has not ended; and
- Grantees whose FY26 grants are in the fourth year of funding (grants ending in the letter “D”). These applications will be considered based on the availability of funding. Priority will be given to high school positions.
Funding is available for salary and benefits for full-time or part-time SRO positions, equipment, programming, and training.
Grants will be awarded on a continuation basis for a 12-month period beginning July 1, 2026, and ending on June 30, 2027. Awards are contingent on funding availability within the SRO Fund in the state appropriations act. Applications must be submitted using the Online Grants Management System (OGMS), found at http://ogms.dcjs.virginia.gov/index.do. Instructions for registering for a new account and for applying for funding can be found on the OGMS Training & Resources.
Applications must be submitted on an annual basis. Please read the guidelines and instructions for additional details.
