The Victim Witness Grant Program (VWGP) program data collection and management is completed using the web-based, Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) owned Victims Services Data Collection System (VSDCS). VSDCS is centralized and hosted by DCJS. The application was developed with a Microsoft.NET frontend and Structured Query Language (SQL) backend. The data entered in the VSDCS is located on a secure server maintained by DCJS. The system has been configured with field data validation to meet program reporting guidelines.
To ensure staff funded by the DCJS Victim/Witness Grant Program have the training and resources needed to navigate the website successfully, DCJS has created training materials posted on this page. These training resources provide a global overview of VSDCS as well as high-level instructions on how to perform various tasks.
