2024 Highlights From the Field

Here at the 2024 Virginia School Safety Training Forum, we want to highlight the great work you’re doing!  We're calling all conference participants to showcase how you or others are supporting school safety in your school, division, or locality.  All submissions will be in the running for up to $1,000 for the school or division they represent!

Who can participate?

All conference participants!

What does each entry need to include?

  1. Photos or a 30 second video in web link(URL), MP4 or wav file format.
  2. Consent forms must be signed by guardians of all students involved.            

What topic(s) should the photos/video cover?

Anything that showcases how you or others are supporting school safety in your school, division, or locality.

What are the prizes?

Winning entries will be in the running for up to $1,000 for their school or division. Winners may also be given the opportunity to talk about their topic in person at the conference. 

How should the photos/videos be submitted?

Photos/Videos may be submitted online through the 2024 HIGHLIGHTS FROM THE FIELD VIDEO SUBMISSION FORM.

When is the deadline?

Submissions are due by 5:00pm, June 14th, 2024.

How will the submissions be selected for inclusion in the Forum?

DCJS staff members will review and select submissions to be shown at the Forum.

Will more than one video be shown at the conference?

YES! We will contact all participants whose photo or video submissions are selected to be featured at the conference.
