The DCJS Criminal Justice Research Center has assembled this collection of locality-level criminal justice and socio-economic indicators from various sources including the Virginia Department of State Police, the Virginia Department of Health, and the U.S. Census Bureau. We are making these indicators available to help decision makers and citizens better understand through data the challenges their communities may be facing as well as successes achieved. These indicators may be used to inform grant applications or to show change in a locality after a program or policy has been implemented.
The profiles currently posted contain data from calendar years 2007 through 2013 and data for Virginia state fiscal years 2013 and 2014. The profiles will be updated annually.
